Blizzard’s Diablo Immortal was announced to a less than excited audience at Blizzcon in 2018. However, as things have progressed, there has been a growing interest in the release of this game. This is particularly the case now that it has been announced that it will be released for iOS, Android, and PC via Battle.net.
Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play game, so that does mean there are microtransactions for you to engage in. While these have become commonplace in a lot of games, they will hopefully not be too intrusive, unfortunately games of this nature have had trouble balancing pay-to-win aspects.
Can you cross play in Diablo Immortal?
Yes, you can play Diablo Immortal across different platforms and with players that are on mobile devices or are playing on PC. This was announced when it was revealed that the game would be available on PC when the release date was announced.
This does obviously bring up some potential problems in terms of PVP. While it’s great that you’ll be able to play with friends across devices, playing on PC is usually thought of as an advantage, particularly against mobile players. This is due to the more intuitive controls of the keyboard and mouse, as well as the higher frame rates you can get on a computer.
Players who want to jump into the fray as soon as possible can pre-register via the official Diablo Immortal website. The game will be entering open beta on iOS, Android, and PC on June 2nd, 2022 for most people. Unfortunately, the following regions will have to wait until later in the month: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
