My Time at Sandrock invites the player to engage with a world that is constantly busy, with something happening around the town all the time. Part of this is the holidays and special events that Matilda will hold on behalf of Sandrock. These events invite the player to engage with their neighbors while celebrating all the good that they’ve accomplished.
One of these events sees the town participating in a food donation event before capping it off with a dance-off. Like with other events, the game doesn’t do a great job of telling the player where to go when it’s time for the special occasion. In this guide, we’ll teach you how to participate in the dance-off in My Time at Sandrock.
How to join the dance-off in My Time at Sandrock
The good news is that you’ll get advance notice of the dance-off via the town hall meeting or through the mail. Once you’ve heard about it, you’ll get a notification and you should head for the stage outside of the Blue Moon. Once you see people on the stage start to dance, you can interact with the signup sheet to the left of the stage.
The dancing minigame in My Time at Sandrock is fairly easy in the first two difficulties before becoming increasingly harder in the last. That being said, fans of rhythm games will find this pretty similar to past games of that genre. You’ll just need to hit the arrow keys or move the thumbstick at the same time as the indicator.
Each time you complete a difficulty, you’ll earn special event tokens. It’s important to know that each increasing difficulty provides more tokens. Since you have a limited amount of time, you should go for the middle or higher difficulty that ensures you’ll win. That’s all you need to know about attending the dance-off in My Time at Sandrock.
